Saving our Environment
The Earth is suffering too much from the people who do not know how to take care of the natural resources that was provided to them. Trashes are around the corners, the rivers and seas are filled with garbage which causes the fish to die and the water become polluted, and trees were cutted down to build houses and furnishing materials without replacing it. And even the cars contribute to the pollution on our air.
These are only some of the scenarios that are happening to our environment yet we are not doing any action about it. The innovation of technologies can also harm the environment. The addition of factories that adds in polluting our air and as well as the water also.
Some of our resources are also running out or we are having a scarcity on it simply because we tend to use our resources more than what we need. We do not use it properly and we are not thinking for the future use of it.
Our environment and natural resources come in tandem. If we do not take good care of the resources which was given to us by the Creator, then the people will also suffer from the things that they have done with the environment. There will come a time that the nature will have its revenge and surely all of us will be highly affected by it.
Good thing that there are still people who have concern for our environment. These are the people who are willing to wake others and let them realize that our Earth needs help, and it is suffering from the hands of the people who are living and using its resources.
During our youth days, our teachers have taught us on how to take good care on our environment. We’ve been taught that doing our simple ways would help to lessen the burden on the issue the pollution and wastes. One of which is to dispose our garbages properly. Plastics and Styrofoam are some of the trashes which are not disposed properly and thrown out in the rivers.
A piece of plastic thrown away will stay the same for many many years; this could be one of the explanations why it seems to get worsen as year goes by. We can prevent this by separating the biodegradable and non-biodegradable garbages and recycle. Bottles, plastics, newspapers and cans can be sold in junk shops. While the biodegradable wastes such as dried leaves, left-over foods, fruit and vegetable peelings can be put into a compost pit to become a fertilizer.
We should also have a plenty of garbage cans separating the biodegradables and non-biodegradables and be strict about it. Put some reminders and dos and don’ts, simple messages will do.
Today, admit it or not but the earth is in a state wherein it cries out for help. Surely, we should be proud and happy about our innovation in science and modern technology, and of course the rapid growth of human population in every way. But if you think seriously about this matter, you will realize that we are facing a very serious problem regarding with our environment and the future ahead of us.
Most of us seem to have become a little too busy in our personal lives, and did not bother to care about this issues that has something to do with our environment. But now, little by little we feel the result of this such as floods, landslides, mudslides and other instances such as fish kills, skin diseases and many more. These are the effects that are happening nowadays simply because of the things that we have done with our environment and natural resources.
Now, we usually have an argument and seminars in giving tips and knowledge on saving our environment and its importance in using the natural resources wisely. Since then, we have been taught about the importance and benefits of a healthy environment and the result of unhealthy surroundings. This made us learned that teaching Environmental education has given us the realization that we should take good care of the resources that was given to us.
If we help each other and show concern in our environment, our goal in saving the Earth would be easier. They believe that the youth of today’s generation are the future of tomorrow, despite their young age, they need to contribute in saving the environment for them to become responsible citizens of tomorrow and be aware on the situations regarding with the environmental issues.
In these situations, we also need to put in some efforts to do our simple ways in saving the environment. This can be easily done by inculcating our own solutions to help in minimizing the environmental issue which result problems in our day-to-day life. Although our own efforts might be not important when we looked at it, if we do it all together we can start in making a difference. Our efforts may have an impact in solving the issues regarding with our problem in saving the Earth and our natural resources.
We cannot do it if we are not cooperating with each other. The term saving our environment should not only remain as an advocacy, a campaign, an idea nor a topic that we should keep on discussing. We should act and do as what we say. We need simple yet effective actions that can turn into positive results. Everyone can actually save the environment by contributing their simple ways. You don’t need to become a genius, you just need to show your genuine concern on the environment that gives you a lot of benefits.
